The UniFi Gateway Lite (UXG-Lite) is a compact yet powerful networking device from Ubiquiti, designed to provide advanced routing and security features for your network. It offers a significant upgrade in performance compared to its predecessor, the USG, with up to 10 times the routing performance when tested with features such as IPS/IDS, QoS, and Smart Queues. The device can be managed through various means including a CloudKey, official UniFi Hosting, or a UniFi Network Server, ensuring flexibility and ease of integration into existing UniFi ecosystems. For networking, the UXG-Lite introduces next-generation security with application-aware firewall rules, signature-based IPS/IDS threat detection, and comprehensive content filtering capabilities. It supports advanced networking features like license-free SD-WAN, multiple VPN options (WireGuard, L2TP, OpenVPN), and customizable DHCP servers, among others. The device is designed to work seamlessly with UniFi APs to provide WiFi QoS and supports additional internet failover with LTE Backup, enhancing reliability and performance. Physically, the UXG-Lite has a compact footprint with dimensions of 98 x 98 x 30 mm and is housed in a polycarbonate enclosure,
